Invitation to participate in interviews about your experience relating to Medical Assistance in Dying

Are you a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner who has cared for patients requesting or receiving Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)? Or, have you decided not to participate in MAiD for any reason? If so, we would like to interview you about your experiences.

CNA is working in cooperation with the University of British Columbia on a research project designed to develop best practices for the implementation of nursing roles in relation to MAiD. Hearing from Canadian nuses about their experiences is central to this development.  If you are willing to participate in a confidential telephone interview or want further information, please contact the Principal Investigator, Barbara Pesut, Canada Research Chair, Health, Ethics and Diversity at the University of British Columbia Okanagan School of Nursing by email or phone at 1-855-807-8263.
