Island Health is hiring critical care nurses to work at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Join a team of compassionate and dedicated nurses who provide nursing care for acutely ill patients with complex, acute and often co-existing chronic illnesses. In this role, you will demonstrate expertise and leadership in nursing practice while maintaining a positive connection with the patients’ family.

Qualifications:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
  • Completion of BCIT Critical Care training (or a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in High Acuity Nursing).
  • Two years of recent, related experience in a high acuity setting (or equivalent).

Skills:

  • Ability to work well with others and independently.
  • Ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures.

The Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an 11-bed unit that provides full level of ICU care. RJH is part of the Provincial Burn Services and accepts ventilated burn patients from around the province.
