QCH is seeking its next Clinical Director, Emergency & Critical Care.

Reporting to the Vice President, Patient Care & Chief Nursing Executive, the Clinical Director has corporate responsibility for setting and achieving the long and short term operational, clinical, financial, quality, and utilization/effectiveness goals for the portfolio. Key areas of leadership include strategic and operational planning, resource allocation, utilization monitoring, and quality initiatives and corporate concerns including legal and human resource issues.

As an ideal candidate, you are preferably Master’s prepared and have a minimum of five years’ healthcare leadership experience acquired in complex acute care hospital setting. You possess sound clinical judgment and analytical skills honed through your past leadership within an emergency department and/or intensive care unit. Drawing on your strong business and financial acumen, you have a demonstrable ability to take a broad scale and long-term view that will ensure continued momentum in QCH’s optimization of ER and ICU programs while reinforcing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

An outstanding communicator and collaborator, you are skilled at creating strong relationships with executive leaders, staff, and a variety of internal and external partners to set program strategies and ensure efficient and effective service delivery that aligns with QCH’s corporate vision. You are an experienced people leader passionate about coaching and developing staff to foster a caring and collegial environment that achieves results by valuing and supporting strong cooperative working relationships at all levels. Courageous, versatile, diplomatic, emotionally intelligent, resilient, and solutions oriented are all terms that peers would use to describe you. You have a bias to action and excel at making practical, transparent and evidence informed decisions on departmental issues that will ensure QCH’s commitment to deliver exceptional patient experience is delivered.
